The Abaca Solomon Mirror - Natural
by Agence Volta, Volta
The Abaca Solomon Mirror greets you each day with its radiant sunburst form reflected within. Spanning 85 cm, this round woven abaca fibre mirror serves as an incredible focal point, casting light beautifully across welcoming entryways or homey living rooms.
Designed with a striking silhouette, it features an intricate center of tightly woven abaca rope that flares outward into a dense crown of shaggy fringe. The reverse side is engineered with sturdy frame support and an integrated hanging loop, allowing for effortless and secure wall mounting.
As part of authentic artisan craftsmanship, the frame showcases weave patterns with natural variations in color and texture. Preserve its beauty by dusting regularly with a soft cloth or brush, and lightly wipe with a damp cloth when needed, allowing ample time to air-dry.
To achieve the voluminous look shown in our images, please reshape the grass fibers using steam or gentle manual styling. This quick shaping is a standard part of the product setup process and ensures the best display.

The Idea
The Abaca Solomon Mirror - Natural was drawn for The Atlas Collection — which meant working inside the collection's rules before anything else: one material family, honest thickness, and no detail that exists only to be looked at.
The prototype went through the workshop three times. What survived is the version where nothing further could be taken away without the piece stopping working.

The Designer
Agence Volta look to the fittings of factory life — bench stops, clamp handles, cable runs — and bring them indoors at a scale that suits a living room.
Nothing is decorative for its own sake. Every visible fixing does something.
