Harbour
The Idea
Harbour came out of the market baskets our weavers were already making for themselves — pieces built to be carried full, not displayed empty.
The weave is tightened at the base, where the load actually sits.
The Designer
ASAÏ are interested in the point at which a craft process becomes a production process without losing the hand.
Their baskets and vessels are made to a pattern, but the pattern is held by a person, not a machine.
