The Bag-A-Boom Bag - Brown
by ASAÏ
In a quiet, grounded tone, the silhouette of The Bag-a-Boom Bag settles comfortably into daily life as a brown cotton shoulder bag designed for ease. Its soft structure and natural surface create an understated sense of calm.
The shape carries what you need without adding weight, making it suited for long days and shifting routines. It folds effortlessly into simple outfits, acting much like a lightweight brown tote that feels familiar the moment you reach for it. The cotton drape moves gently, adding a subtle softness to your rhythm.
Woven from natural fibres with slight variations in tone, this cotton handbag reflects thoughtful craftsmanship, preserving the character and warmth of its material.

The Idea
The Bag-A-Boom Bag - Brown was drawn for The Harbour Collection — which meant working inside the collection's rules before anything else: one material family, honest thickness, and no detail that exists only to be looked at.
The prototype went through the workshop three times. What survived is the version where nothing further could be taken away without the piece stopping working.

The Designer
ASAÏ are interested in the point at which a craft process becomes a production process without losing the hand.
Their baskets and vessels are made to a pattern, but the pattern is held by a person, not a machine.
