The Canggu Keychain - Natural
by ASAÏ
Crafted from natural shell and wood, The Canggu Keychain captures the essence of the vibrant coastal town of Canggu in Bali. At its base, a cluster of tiny shells dances in harmony, while three wooden spheres, gradually increasing in size, add a playful touch.
Let this charming accessory be a reminder of sunny days by the sea and the laid-back atmosphere of Canggu, wherever your adventures take you.

The Idea
The Canggu Keychain - Natural was drawn for The Harbour Collection — which meant working inside the collection's rules before anything else: one material family, honest thickness, and no detail that exists only to be looked at.
The prototype went through the workshop three times. What survived is the version where nothing further could be taken away without the piece stopping working.
The Designer
ASAÏ are interested in the point at which a craft process becomes a production process without losing the hand.
Their baskets and vessels are made to a pattern, but the pattern is held by a person, not a machine.
