The Fusuma Coffee Table - M
by Pascale Pelsmaekers, Studio Bizar
All good things come in three's! Our Fusuma coffee tables are sold seperately, but fit perfectly together as sets of two or three with slight height differences making them space-saving.
These practical beauties have been made from reclaimed teak wood, giving them a rustic look that fits any interior. Embrace the beauty of nature's (im)perfections and bring the warmth of reclaimed wood into your home with the Fusuma Coffee Tables.
Handmade from natural materials, each piece carries gentle imperfections, shifts in tone, and subtle variations, quiet signatures of its own unique soul.
This product is designed for indoor use only. Outdoor use, even in covered areas, may cause damage due to humidity or weather conditions and is not covered by warranty. Any images showing outdoor use are for styling purposes only.

The Idea
The Fusuma Coffee Table - M was drawn for The Safari Collection — which meant working inside the collection's rules before anything else: one material family, honest thickness, and no detail that exists only to be looked at.
The prototype went through the workshop three times. What survived is the version where nothing further could be taken away without the piece stopping working.
The Designer
Pascale Pelsmaekers designs from inside the studio, which means a prototype can be argued about in the morning and rebuilt by the afternoon.
She also shoots most of the catalogue, so the pieces are photographed by someone who knows exactly where to look.
