The Linear Dining Chair - Natural Grey
by Agence Volta, Volta
At the dining table, The Linear Dining Chair introduces a composed rhythm, where a dining chair with grey cushion softens the natural warmth of teak wood. The silhouette feels architectural yet calm, grounding the room with intention.
Designed for long meals and unhurried conversations, the chair offers supportive seating without visual weight. Its teak wood dining chair frame provides strength and clarity, while the grey cushion adds comfort and contrast. The proportions feel considered, allowing the chair to work equally well in intimate dining spaces or larger tables, blending easily with modern wooden dining chair settings.
Moments linger longer when seating feels natural and unforced, inviting pause between courses and conversation. Made from solid teak and finished with care, subtle variations in grain and tone give each piece quiet individuality rooted in traditional woodworking.

The Idea
The Linear Dining Chair - Natural Grey was drawn for The Hardy Collection — which meant working inside the collection's rules before anything else: one material family, honest thickness, and no detail that exists only to be looked at.
The prototype went through the workshop three times. What survived is the version where nothing further could be taken away without the piece stopping working.
The Designer
Agence Volta look to the fittings of factory life — bench stops, clamp handles, cable runs — and bring them indoors at a scale that suits a living room.
Nothing is decorative for its own sake. Every visible fixing does something.
