The Idea
Terra began with a refusal to glaze anything. Unfinished stoneware takes on the room — it darkens where it is handled and holds the water it is given.
Each piece is thrown, not cast, so the wall thickness varies and the weight tells you so.
The Designer
Amare works only with fibres that will age well — linen, hemp, undyed wool — and refuses anything that looks worse after a decade than it did on the first day.
Colour comes from madder, indigo and walnut, so no two runs are identical.
