The Burned Jar - M
by Amare, Amare Studio
The Burned Jar is a soulful handmade ceramic jar, created as an anchor for cherished rituals. Its grounded presence brings a sense of ancient serenity while adding a sculptural accent to the modern home.
Each jar is individually hand-sculpted with a rounded silhouette, horn-like handles, and a gently curved lid, making every piece uniquely expressive. Perfect for storing tea, a sculptural salt cellar, or as a striking decorative vessel, it elevates daily routines with understated artistry.
Microwave and oven safe, it is best cared for with gentle hand washing to preserve its finish. Slight variations in color and texture celebrate its natural, handcrafted origin, making every jar a one-of-a-kind statement.

The Idea
The Burned Jar - M was drawn for The Terra Collection — which meant working inside the collection's rules before anything else: one material family, honest thickness, and no detail that exists only to be looked at.
The prototype went through the workshop three times. What survived is the version where nothing further could be taken away without the piece stopping working.

The Designer
Amare works only with fibres that will age well — linen, hemp, undyed wool — and refuses anything that looks worse after a decade than it did on the first day.
Colour comes from madder, indigo and walnut, so no two runs are identical.
