by Adélie Ducasse, Atelier Ducasse
The Paramo Stool is a study in quiet simplicity and natural beauty. Crafted from suar wood and set on three sturdy legs, its minimalist form highlights the richness of the wood’s organic grain.
Compact yet versatile, it moves effortlessly through your space as extra seating, a side table, or a refined decorative accent. Handmade from natural materials, each piece features gentle imperfections and tonal shifts as quiet signatures of its unique soul.

The Idea
The Paramo Stool - Natural was drawn for The Quarry Collection — which meant working inside the collection's rules before anything else: one material family, honest thickness, and no detail that exists only to be looked at.
The prototype went through the workshop three times. What survived is the version where nothing further could be taken away without the piece stopping working.

The Designer
Adélie Ducasse trained as a cabinetmaker before turning to design, and it shows in the joinery — nothing is hidden, nothing is glued where it could be pegged.
Her pieces for Studio Bizar began with a single question: what does a chair owe the room it stands in? The answer, so far, has been restraint.
