The Idea
The Perangko Stool - Natural was drawn for The Quarry Collection — which meant working inside the collection's rules before anything else: one material family, honest thickness, and no detail that exists only to be looked at.
The prototype went through the workshop three times. What survived is the version where nothing further could be taken away without the piece stopping working.

The Designer
Adélie Ducasse trained as a cabinetmaker before turning to design, and it shows in the joinery — nothing is hidden, nothing is glued where it could be pegged.
Her pieces for Studio Bizar began with a single question: what does a chair owe the room it stands in? The answer, so far, has been restraint.
